He has graduated from the Al-Rasheed College of Engineering and Science in 1989 and awarded the B. Sc. in electrical and electronics Engineering. In 1995, he awarded the M. Sc. in Control Engineering from the same college. He worked as assistant Lecturer in the same college from 1995 to 1999. He received his Ph. D. degree in Control and Automation from the University of Technology in 2003. Since 2004, he has been working as a lecturer in the teaching staff in the control and Systems Engineering department-University of Technology. He awarded a scientific promotion to assistant professor in 2009. He published more than 40 papers in journals and conferences and supervised several M. Sc. and Ph. D. students. He awarded two postdoctoral research fellowships funded by Endeavour program in Australia and conducted in researches in School of Engineering, Edith Cowan University in WA, Australia. In March 2012 he was assigned as the assistant head of the Control and Systems department for administrative affairs. Since November 2018, he has been appointing as the assistant head of the Control and Systems department for Higher education and scientific affairs.
